The male approach

Relaxed, not rewritten.

On a man, anti-wrinkle injections are dosed to quieten the lines while the face keeps moving, the brow stays flat and level, never arched, so you read as rested rather than altered.

Dosed for a male brow

Men carry a stronger frontalis and a heavier brow. We under-treat the forehead and keep the arch flat, lift it and the face reads feminine.

You still move

The aim is not a frozen face. You keep your expressions, what quietens is the etched line the muscle leaves behind after them.

Beyond the upper face

The same appointment can also assess teeth grinding and jaw slimming (masseter), neck bands (Nefertiti) and excess sweating (hyperhidrosis), each planned as its own zone.

What it treats

Eight areas, one assessment.

Anti-wrinkle injections work on movement: the lines a muscle etches over time, and a few things beyond the face entirely.

Forehead lines

The horizontal lines that deepen each time you raise your brows.

Frown (glabella)

The vertical "elevens" between the brows that read as tension.

Crow's feet

The fine lines that fan from the outer corner of the eye.

Bunny lines

The scrunch lines across the bridge of the nose when you smile.

Brow lift

A few precise units that let the brow sit fractionally more open.

Masseter

Teeth grinding (bruxism) eased, and a heavy jaw gradually slimmed.

Neck (Nefertiti)

Vertical neck bands relaxed for a cleaner jaw-to-neck line.

Sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Excessive underarm or palm sweating, quietened for months.

Pricing is simple: the upper face is one fixed £400, covering up to five areas (forehead, frown, crow's feet, bunny lines and brow lift), and masseter, Nefertiti and hyperhidrosis are £450 each. Your exact plan is agreed with you at consultation; see the full price list.

Anti-wrinkle injections relax muscles, they do not add structure. If the concern is a flat cheek, a weak chin or an undefined jaw, that is filler or the Band Codex, not this.

Dr Bassam Band · GMC 7458919

Dr Bassam Band, MBChB, BSc (Hons), MRCGP, developed the Band Codex, the world's first structured injecting system for the male face, and teaches doctors internationally. Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine here prescribed and injected by the doctor, never delegated.

  1. A £100 consultation. Your movement is assessed face-to-face, professional prescribing standards and good medicine both require it, and the dose is planned for a male brow. You leave knowing what your face needs, what it doesn't, and the exact price.
  2. You decide in your own time. Nothing is prescribed or sold in the chair, and if your concern is structure rather than lines, you'll be told this isn't the treatment.
  3. Treated, then reviewed at two weeks. Dosed to keep the face moving, with a review included to fine-tune anything that settles unevenly.

Anti-wrinkle questions

Asked before you book.

Will I look frozen?

No, that is the point of a male dose. We treat to quieten the lines while your forehead still moves, then review you at two weeks to fine-tune. You should look rested, not stiff.

How fast does it work?

Onset is usually days three to five, with the full effect by two weeks. A review is included at that point to adjust anything that has settled unevenly.

How long does it last?

Typically three to four months. It varies with the area, your dose and how strongly the muscle works, the masseter and other heavy movers often need a little more.

Is it safe?

Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine, administered by a doctor after a face-to-face consultation, nothing is prescribed or given before you are assessed. Side effects are usually minor and short-lived: pinpoint bruising, a mild headache, or temporary heaviness around the treated area. Rarely, a temporary eyelid or brow droop can occur until the dose wears off, conservative male dosing and the two-week review are how we keep that rare. Individual responses vary, and you leave with aftercare instructions and a direct contact for any concern.

What does it cost?

The upper face is a fixed £400, covering up to five areas in one visit: forehead, frown, crow's feet, bunny lines and brow lift. Masseter, Nefertiti neck and hyperhidrosis are £450 each, with no one-area/two-area tiers. A monthly maintenance membership exists; if maintenance suits you, the doctor will talk it through at your consultation. The consultation is a flat £100; see the pricing page.

How do I book?

Call 07990 090069 or email the clinic for a consultation at 5 Goodge Place, Fitzrovia. Because this is a prescription medicine, the face-to-face consultation always comes first, and there is no obligation to proceed after it.
